But it can be a difficult day for singles. While it’s alright to feel a bit of disappointment or loneliness, remember that there are many wonderful things about being single. Celebrate yourself and take care of you on Valentine’s Day by doing something special for yourself. Treat yourself to a special dinner, plan a fun day out with friends, or simply relax in your own company. Take this opportunity to focus on self-love and appreciation, and remember that being single can be just as wonderful as being in a relationship.

Welcome back z-scrollers, It’s the season of love and I have a few tips for my singles this season. You can still have fun on Val’s day, just like I pointed out in my introduction, valentine shouldn’t be all about romance.

  1. Take some time for yourself: Spend some time doing something for yourself this Valentine’s Day. Whether that means having a hot bath, taking a yoga class, or treating yourself to a spa day, Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be full of romance.
  2. Hang out with friends: Spend the day with your favorite people! Plan a night out with your friends for dinner, drinks, or a fun activity.
  3. Pamper yourself: If a spa day isn’t in the cards, you can still give yourself some love this Valentine’s Day. Give yourself a manicure or pedicure, buy yourself some new clothes, or find a new favorite spot to relax.
  4. Celebrate yourself: Focus on loving yourself and your own achievements, no matter how small they are. Focus on the positive things, like how far you’ve come, how hard you’ve worked, and how proud

FRIENDSHIP https://zinoscroll.com.ng/friendship/ https://zinoscroll.com.ng/friendship/#respond Sun, 23 Jan 2022 21:43:53 +0000 https://zinoscroll.com.ng/?p=1414 Hello amazing z-scrollers, thank you for the love on my last blog post. Welcome to today’s read.

My learners (I’m an early years teacher) have pretty different personalities, as should be , but at their really tender age a number of them are strong willed. They choose their friends! and I have noticed this selection is based off of their energies and vibes. Excluding the social butterfly who just wants to be everyone’s best  friend.
I  don’t have them seated randomly,  I paired them based on certain criteria, yet not every learners seat mate is a friend.
And I just thought to myself, these babies have a pure and genuine heart , yet they are fully aware that the choice of making a friend is theirs to make .
  So whats your excuse?
choose your friends,  and choose wisely.
Too many sad stories these days about great destinies cut short because of wrong association.

You can tell when a relationship isn’t right, God put that gut feeling, that intuition in us for such a time as these.
The year is still young please end those toxic friendships.
Do not bother about the after effect, everybody go dey alright but you know what, it’s better safe than sorry.
And just maybe you’re the toxic one, let Jesus fix you.
Social media be wild these days, the sad stories too many, new ones springing up by the day, and I’m here thinking to myself some of theses could have been easily averted if we listend to the still small voice, that nudging, those warning signs.
Please, evil communications still corrupts good manners the last time I checked.
It’s not cruise, live right, intentional relationship, positive associations,  detox your circle, make a resolve to associate yourself with great minds this year.
If you’re finding it hard cutting off from certain people ask the help of God, as long as you’re genuine about it, He will help you break out from toxicity.
I trust God to help you in choosing the right circle this year.

How To Make The Right Decision • https://zinoscroll.com.ng/how-to-make-the-right-decision-%e2%80%a2/ https://zinoscroll.com.ng/how-to-make-the-right-decision-%e2%80%a2/#respond Mon, 09 Aug 2021 06:26:03 +0000 https://zinoscroll.com.ng/?p=1405 What Are the Consequences of Your Decisions?

In the fall of 1982, James Burke, the chairman of Johnson & Johnson, faced the biggest crisis of his career. J&J learned from a reporter that their flagship product, Tylenol, had been linked to seven poisoning deaths in the Chicago area. No one knew how or why the capsules had been poisoned, and Burke didn’t know how widespread the danger to the public might be.

What would you do?

The Bible suggests we should start the decision-making process by considering the potential consequences of our actions. Deuteronomy 28 shows that some actions bring blessings while others bring curses. What actions could Burke take to save his company from potential curses? How could he bless consumers and the Tylenol brand for the future?

Burke quickly considered the consequences of several strategies, with a focus on keeping customers safe. Though it cost Johnson & Johnson $100 million in the short term, Burke convinced J&J shareholders to recall all Tylenol capsules. Burke also directed an expensive media campaign to warn consumers against taking Tylenol until it was deemed safe again.

The effort was costly for Johnson & Johnson in the short term, but it saved the Tylenol brand in the long term. After J&J launched a new tamper-proof packaging, Tylenol quickly regained its lost market share. The public rewarded Burke for the trust he had built up during the crisis through his transparency and ethical decision-making.

When you face a tough ethical dilemma, think about the potential consequences of each of your choices. List all the consequences you can think of, both short term and long term. Does one choice yield more blessing?

Prayer

Lord, give me your insight into the consequences of my choices. Guide me towards blessing and away from curses. Amen.

How to Ask For What You Want. https://zinoscroll.com.ng/how-to-ask-for-what-you-want/ https://zinoscroll.com.ng/how-to-ask-for-what-you-want/#respond Sun, 13 Jun 2021 17:00:34 +0000 https://zinoscroll.com.ng/?p=1401 Hello friends welcome to the scroll.
Just like you have seen in the tittle, it’s a continuation of our last read.
Let’s go straight into today’s read shall we!

There’s a specific science to asking for and getting what you want or need in life, here are some quick tips to get you started:
1. Ask as if you expect to get it. Ask with a positive expectation. Ask from the place that you have already been given it. It’s a done deal. Ask as if you expect to get a yes.
2. Assume you can. Don’t start with the assumption that you can’t get it. If you are going to assume, assume you can get an upgrade. Assume you can get a table by the window. Assume that you can return it without a sales slip. Assume that you can get a scholarship, that you can get a raise, that you can get tickets at this late date. Don’t ever assume against yourself.
3. Ask someone who can give it to you. Qualify the person. “Who would I have to speak to to get…” “Who is authorized to make a decision about…” “What would have to happen for me to get…”
4. Be clear and specific. Your requests need to be specific. When it comes to money, you need to ask for a specific amount.
Don’t say: I want a raise.
Do say: I want a raise of N200,000 a month.
When it comes to when you want something done, don’t say “soon” or “whenever it’s convenient.” Give a specific date and time.
Don’t say: I want to spend some time with you this weekend.
Do say: I would like to go out for dinner and a movie with you on Saturday night. Would that work for you?
When it comes to a behavioral request, be specific. Say exactly what you want the person to do.
Don’t say: I want more help around the house.
Do say: I want you to wash the dishes every night after dinner and take out the garbage Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights.
5. Ask repeatedly. One of the most important principles of success is persistence, not giving up.
Whenever you’re asking others to participate in the fulfillment of your goals, some people are going to say no. They may have other priorities, commitments, and reasons not to participate. It’s not a reflection on you.
Just get used to the idea that there’s going to be a lot of rejection along the way to the brass ring.
The key is not to give up. When someone says no, you keep on asking. Why? Because when you keep on asking—even the same person again and again—you might get a yes… On a different day When the person is in a better mood When you have new data to present After you’ve proven your commitment to them When circumstances have changed When you’ve learned how to close better When you’ve established better rapport, When the person trusts you more, When you have paid your dues, When the economy is better Kids understand this success principle perhaps better than anyone. They will ask the same person for the same thing over and over again without any hesitation. They eventually wear you down.
I once read a story in People magazine about a man who asked the same woman more than 30 times to marry him. No matter how many times she said no, he kept coming back—and eventually she said yes!

I’m pretty sure you’re considering trying out atleast one of this tips, I want to know exactly which one, leave me a comment in the comment section. Thanks for taking out time to read. If you found this interesting and inspiring, please don’t keep it to yourself, share it with your friends and keep the scroll moving. I love you all, thank you for your continuous support, I will see you in the next read…peace.

High Intention…Low Attachment https://zinoscroll.com.ng/high-intentionlow-attachment/ https://zinoscroll.com.ng/high-intentionlow-attachment/#respond Sun, 21 Mar 2021 14:54:24 +0000 https://zinoscroll.com.ng/?p=1384 If you want to remain calm and peaceful as you go through life, you have to have high intention and low attachment. You do everything you can to create your desired outcomes, and then you let it go.
Sometimes you don’t get the intended result by the date that you want. That is life. You just keep moving in the direction of your goal until you get there. Sometimes the universe has other plans, and often they are better than the ones you had in mind. That is why I recommend adding the phrase “this or something better” to the end of your affirmations.

The melancholic mind https://zinoscroll.com.ng/the-melancholic-mind/ https://zinoscroll.com.ng/the-melancholic-mind/#respond Sun, 07 Feb 2021 17:10:08 +0000 https://zinoscroll.com.ng/?p=1369 Hello z-scollers, welcome to the blog, hope everyone is doing  great.

This past weeks has not been the easiest.
Worked resumed last monday and on sunday I was totally not prepared, I’d usually arrange my stuff, plan my to-do list, but i slept on Sunday night not worrying about anything …I just said to myself tomorrow would take care of itself.

First I woke up late the next morning, the cold and all, my body hadn’t adjusted to waking up early, so I got ready haphazardly, found myself at work and just struggled through out the day. Well it affected my mood and I concluded I’d be fine and would probably do better the next day.

Tuesday came and I felt even worse, I had this heaviness in my heart, work didn’t make it any better, I was unhappy for the most part, scared and anxious, my thoughts were all over the place. I haven’t mastered the act of masking my emotions and wearing a fake smile all day err day so I guess my countenance was quite obvious, did the best I could at work, didn’t have a choice, plus I wasn’t ready to ruin things there and compound my problems.

I’m heading somewhere please stick with me.
At night I wouldn’t sleep, there were days I cried my eyes sore, the fright and worry continued.

I decide to talk to a few of my friends, my circle is really small and I would usually talk to myself, my sis or my mom and get all the support, relieve and assurance I needed at that point in time, but I decided to share my problems further, you know what they say about problems being shared, okay.

The last two conversations I had was as if God spoke through their mouths, I gained so much light, I was at work that faithful Wednesday,  I knelt down to pray a simple prayer

I told God “He knows me better than anyone else and all I seek is His peace, I was done worrying about the known and unknown and all I wanted was that He guide me through my journey here on earth and I was willing to not fight His plan or will. In that instance I felt calm, it was magical, so quick so swift, I can’t fitit into words. God heard me, He didn’t answer in the way I was use to hearing Him speak to me. I stood up dusted myself and carried on with my work.

I’m learning to take each day as it comes, running with Matthew 6:33 and watch God settle every other thing.

We live in a chaotic world, it messes with our thought pattern, work us up and ultimately leave us feeling miserable, not the best feeling I can assure you.

Please do not bottle up your feelings, I’d say talk to someone, not just anyone, more than anyone in this world we all know what good counsel sounds like and where to get one. Most importantly talk to God, not like your Boss, or strict parent, talk to him like you would talk to your love interest, ask Him relevant Questions, he’s a question answering God, don’t be hasty to leave, wait till you get a response, He’s always speaking.

I don’t know who’s meant to see this, I just want you to know you’re not alone God loves you more than you could ever imagine, He sees all you’re going through and he just wants you to let him in, so he can help you.

Thank you for taking out time to read my blog, please share this if you think it might help someone out there. I love you all see you in my next post. Peace!

I hope we have all been great! Staying safe, internally motivated, keeping fit, eating healthy, staying eternally grateful and ticking our checklist.
Well, if you haven’t been doing all of that, it isn’t too late to start.

Welcome back to the blog!!!

I always start the year writting out my goals and fasting, seeking the face of God for directions for the new year.
Last year was quite an eventful year, won’t call it a bad year at all, I achieved 80% of my set goals to the glory of God.

For those of us that didn’t know I lost my dad August last year, it was the most trying period of my life, but I’m healing and it gets better with time.

I want to encourage us to make the most of our time on earth, this year be more grateful, pray more, be happier, keep right company, love, sow, be kind, learn a new skill, brush up your existing skill, travel, spend time with your loved ones, earn, save, have a vision board, set goals and work towards achieving them.

I love you all thank you for taking out time to read this.

What your faves don’t tell you. https://zinoscroll.com.ng/what-your-faves-dont-tell-you/ https://zinoscroll.com.ng/what-your-faves-dont-tell-you/#respond Sun, 19 Apr 2020 17:58:51 +0000 https://zinoscroll.com.ng/?p=1240 Hi! z-scrollers (the new name i just made up for my awesome blog readers, you will be seeing this often) what have y’all been up.

I want to appeal to you to put conscious effort into every thing you do. They say what is what doing, is worth doing well. Don’t do it for doing sake, don’t do things simply because you don’t want to feel left out.

For the longest time,  I made my Instagram mini makeup tutorials nonchalantly, I used to get carried away and forget to have a second glance at my work, which was always visible in the end result. And at the end of the day i archive some posts. But you know, the internet they say doesn’t forgive. So instead of taking down that post after getting a low social media engagement or just looking at it like ‘it’s not worth it” why not do it well in the first instance? You don’t have to be a perfectionist, but when creating content bear in mind that there are a thousand and one content creators out there, yes the sky is big enough for everyone, but you can still be at the top or rather make a difference.

There will always be a million reason why you can’t make exceptional content like the next person, ranging from finance, work space location, name it. Instead of dwelling on those countless excuses, make the best out of what you currently have.  I just recently started doing that, and i can’t be happier.

In creating my makeup content, most of my products haven’t changed, my filming device and lighting are still the same,  but there’s a great difference. I now get comments like, “Your work is improving” (that’s an ouch to my ego) ‘ cos sometimes a girl feels like she has become ‘bahd’ here’s another one “this is your best work yet” and I’m like so what have I been doing? have the rest been so bad all the while? but then people see what you do and except you want to live in denial, I’d advise you give critics,  friends, and fans a listening ear. If I keep at this pace with every zeal and zest for acceleration , in no time I would go farther. All I’m trying to say is, I urge you to take everything you do seriously,

. Be deliberate about it,

. Acquire knowledge every second of the day,

. Be passionate about what you do.

. If you are a content creator put in extra effort,

.Don’t be scared to ask mentors for help.

And if you feel down because you have done all of these but you see little or no growth at all,  keep at it,  bearing in mind that time and chance happen to us all,  and consistency is all you need. There will always be tough and rough days,  but if that hustle is truly a passion, it will thrive through the hardest of times and you will come out smiling.  Never give up keep pushing… see you at the top… peace Zinop

CRISIS PROOF YOUR FAMILY- ON THE ROAD TO I DO https://zinoscroll.com.ng/crisis-proof-your-family-on-the-road-to-i-do/ https://zinoscroll.com.ng/crisis-proof-your-family-on-the-road-to-i-do/#comments Fri, 08 Jun 2018 15:37:49 +0000 https://zinoscroll.com/?p=617

If you’re on the road to I do/in a serious relationship and you notice anything you’d like your potential spouse to improve on, speak up! Don’t overlook it, that’s unwise. Don’t nag but don’t keep silent, especially if it’s causing friction between you both. If you’re willing to accept it now without saying anything about it, you have to be willing to accept it in the marriage. Don’t deceive yourself; too many couples turn a blind eye to some negative traits and it’s when they get married that their eye open up and the DRAMA begins. Each one of us has areas we need to work on, and we must be willing to keep working on ourselves particularly if our attitudes, character, behavior gets in the way of our relationships. When I meet singles who claim to love everything about their potential spouse, I become uneasy and already know they are headed for trouble.
Don’t be carried away by fairytales and unrealistic perceptions and expectations. There is nothing wrong with being observant and requesting some adjustments in each other (you must also be willing to do same). Please note that this should be done with wisdom; be respectful and kind, and not rude and harsh. Marriage is a growing and learning institution and it requires the students in it to be open to growth and positive changes. If you speak up and that potential spouse refuses to do anything about your concerns, think VERY well before you proceed! Don’t say they will get better in the marriage. Its not automatic!!! It’s not marriage that will change them, it is their willingness to change that will provoke any changes that are needed. Be wise! If you are unsure or need help on how to go about this, please prayerfully seek godly counseling!

WORDS ONLY! https://zinoscroll.com.ng/words-only/ https://zinoscroll.com.ng/words-only/#comments Tue, 04 Jul 2017 17:17:41 +0000 https://zinoscroll.com/?p=346 Words are very vital and potent. They can make or Mar you, written or spoken, words are powerful. It’s a pity quite a number of us fail to understand how important the use of words are to our daily lives.
We have relegated our mouths to speaking alone aside the other physical things it can do. We fail to understand that it isn’t appropriate to just voice out without thinking. I know people say “I love to speak my mind” “I love to air out my feelings in the moment” Totally not a bad thing to do at all, but rather than just talk because your belly is constipated with a lot of data and you feel the only relief you would get would be to spit it out. Stop and think for a minute. You can take back a lot of things but not your words. As much as you try to make anger an excuse, you would always leave a mark on people. Bad words are like holes in walls, it penetrates and later shatters it, Be slow to speak and quick to listen. Don’t jump in on every conversation because you feel your contribution is needed or valuable.
Positive or negative, words has lasting effect, it lingers on on the mind of the hearer or reader for a long time. And guess what your choice of words shows to an extent not just how knowledgeable you are but the quality of the info you feed your mind, you can’t eat rice expecting to vomit lettuce when you feel sick to your stomach.
Learn how to compliment people,
Learn to say thank you,
Learn to say I’m sorry,
This very little things can go a long way it can bring hope to someone at the verge of a mental breakdown it can bring smile to the face of a frustrated man, it can send beautiful memories to the heart of that lonely girl.
I have seen sound men lapse into depression from constantly listening to uncultured words, great destinies gradually go into shambles because they dwelt on negative words..it sounds like a lie right trust me this things happen and is still happening till we make a choice to be careful with our choice of words.
Choose your words wisely, every word counts…be the change.. positive words only. peace
